Faces

I made this collage from several of my drawings. I think it looks pretty cool, so I am posting it

Contrary to popular belief... to me, the most important part of my drawings is the face. I start every new drawing with the face, or more precisely, the mouth. In my opinion, the mouth makes it or breaks it, as miniscule changes in shading, highlights, the thickness of the lips or the slant of the teeth can alter the expression. A lot of fuzz is usually made about the eyes of a girl... I've never bought that. To me, the "mouth region" of a face determines 90% of the impact (like the elusive quality of "cuteness"). I think you can see in the images above that I place much more emphasis on the mouth than on the eyes. Well, maybe I'm just not an eye guy.
